Klaudia Bittererová

born in 1983

Klaudia graduated from The Eva Jaczova Dance Conservatory in Bratislava in 2001 (leading teacher Gabriela Béderová). During her studies she took part in the International Ballet Competition in Brno, where she won a second place. In 2001 she joined the Slovak National Theatre Ballet (SND) and was promoted to soloist in the company in 2004.

Klaudia danced many solo and leading roles in classical as well as modern repertory of the company: Spartakus (Frygia), La Bajadére (Nikiya, Pas de trois, Pas d´action), Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora, Princess Florina, Cat), Nutcracker (Snow Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy), Ivan the Terrible (Anastasia), Swan Lake (Odette, Pas de trois, Pas de quatre, Tarantella – solo couple), Le Corsaire (Gulnara, Odalisque), La Sylphide (Sylphide), Don Quixote (Amorino, Friends), Caligula (Drusilla), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena) and Four Seasons (Autumn – solo).

Klaudia appeared in several solo roles in modern repertory pieces such as Mario Radačovský´s Inspiration (She), 68 (solo couple), Bolero (White Queen),  Everest and Warhol and Jiří Kylián´s – Un Ballo.

Klaudia also appeared in ballets for children Popolvár (Princess), Snow White and the Seven Racers (Snow White) and A Bug Was Born (Firefly).

She went on tours with the Slovak National Theatre Ballet in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, France and Canada.

In 2005 Klaudia won The Phillip Morris Ballet Flower Award as the outstanding talent of the year.
